Marty Zimmerman
As President of HVS Productions, Marty Zimmerman oversees the creative product of HVS while at the same time serving as chief videographer of many of its projects. Marty has served as principal photographer on several documentaries that have aired nationally. He has received numerous Emmy nominations citing his outstanding achievements in photography and seven projects on which he has worked have also received Emmy's
Marty also utilizes his engineering expertise by maintaining all HVS cameras and equipment. |

Marty began his career in 1976 shooting extensively with film at KPBS (PBS) in San Diego. Marty worked briefly as a photographer at the NBC affiliate, KNSD in San Diego before moving to Salt Lake City to work with the NBC affiliate (KUTV-TV). While at KUTV, Marty shot and edited news, feature reports and documentaries. He traveled extensively while working with the station's bureau in Washington D.C. It was during his career in Salt Lake City that Marty became accomplished at shooting video from helicopters--a move that eventually led him to earn his own commercial helicopter pilot's license.
Marty returned to San Diego and KNSD where he continued honing his camera skills, videotaping news, features, investigative reports and engineering live broadcast segments from throughout San Diego.
In 1982 Marty left KCST to form his own video production company. Through HVS Productions, Marty has shot video for all of the major U.S. television networks as well as foreign networks.
