HVS / Bob's Bio

Bob Shroder As Vice President of HVS Productions, Bob Shroder is involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. Bob manages budgets, coordinates both staff and freelancers and organizes shoot schedules. He is also a videotape editor who has earned several Emmys for his work. Work Experience A graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Bob majored in Radio and Television. Bob became an assignment editor at the NBC affiliate in San Diego, KNSD. He coordinated daily shooting schedules for more than a dozen video crews and technicians.

Shortly after leaving KNSD, Bob co-produced a unique project called "Inside/Outside". The program was initiated at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in San Diego to teach television basics to inmates. He then joined HVS Productions as both editor and production coordinator. Bob's editing skills have been recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for which he received the excellent achievement award for his work on the educational video "First Tuesday." Bob has also been active in editing projects for networks such as CNN, ESPN, Television New Zealand and Portuguese Television. In addition, He was a field producer for the syndicated sports TV show "The George Michael Sports Machine", working such events as the NFL and NBA playoffs. Bob recently completed producing and editing several projects for KPBS Television, including "San Diego Above All" (which won 4 Emmys, including one for editing), "Afoot and Afield in San Diego" and "Nature's Classic: San Diego". bob@hvsprod.com
